Sightglass Cellars is the Woodinville winery of veteran Washington winemaker Sean Boyd and his wife, Kristin Jostad. Boyd’s path runs through cellar work at Penfolds in Australia and experience with producers in Australia, Spain, New Zealand and Portugal before nearly 15 years making wine at Woodinville Wine Cellars. Sean and Kristin launched Sightglass in 2016, carrying forward long-standing Washington vineyard relationships while building a label focused on expressive, small-lot wines from premium Eastern Washington sites.

The Experience

Sightglass is a particularly strong stop for visitors who care about the person making the wine and where the fruit comes from. The winery sources from named Washington sites including Artz Vineyard, Conner Lee, Stillwater Creek, Boushey Vineyard and Ranch at the End of the Road. Boyd is especially associated with Sauvignon Blanc, unoaked Chardonnay and distinctive reds, while the intimate weekend tasting room gives guests a chance to experience the wines in an owner-run setting rather than a large hospitality operation.
