Owner guide
From discovery to an actual visit.
My Harvest List is built around the decisions people make before and during a day in Woodinville — what they discover, what they save, what they plan, and when we can establish that they reached a venue.
The idea
Harvest List is more than a directory of Woodinville businesses. It is a planning utility, which means visitor activity can reveal progressively stronger signals as someone moves from browsing toward a real-world stop.
How visitors move through Harvest List
Discovery is the beginning, not the finish line.
There is no single required funnel. Visitors can enter from search, a guide, Explore, a business profile or a saved list. These stages explain the different kinds of intent Harvest List can observe.
Discover
A business appears while someone is deciding where to go.
Consider
They open the business, explore details or take another action.
Save
They keep the venue in My Grapes as a place they want to remember.
Plan
The venue becomes part of a trip or an actual Woodinville day.
Arrive
A verified arrival gate can establish that the visitor reached the venue.
Visitor acquisition
Different actions mean different things.
Harvest List keeps those signals distinct. We should not treat an impression as a visit, or a save as proof that someone walked through the door.
They encountered your business.
Useful for understanding visibility and where attention begins.
- Search and discovery appearances
- Homepage or guide exposure where measured
- Business clicks and profile views
They actively explored you.
These actions move beyond passive exposure and show active evaluation.
- Profile engagement
- Website or contact actions where tracked
- Map and directions activity where tracked
They kept you in the plan.
A save or trip action is a stronger signal than simply seeing a business.
- Venue saves
- Add-to-trip activity
- Trip planning around the venue
We have evidence of arrival.
Arrival is deliberately separated from planning and engagement. It requires an arrival gate.
- Manual Mark as Visited
- Automatic location arrival
- Explicit Check In
Verified arrival
Three legitimate ways to establish that someone reached a venue.
Harvest List does not infer a visit from a save, profile view or directions tap. Arrival requires a stronger signal.
Mark as Visited
Explicit trip action. The visitor marks a stop visited from My Trips or My Day. This feeds the visited-stop analytic as a manual arrival.
Automatic Arrived
Passive location confirmation. While My Trips is open, location can establish arrival when the visitor is within roughly 35 meters of an unvisited trip stop and reported location accuracy is good enough — approximately 50 meters or better.
Check In
Explicit venue action. The visitor taps Check In on the venue profile. Check In currently creates its own history record; connecting an eligible Check In to the same visited-stop analytic is the intended third arrival source.
Different signals tell us different things. A save can show interest. A trip can show intent. An arrival can show that a visitor reached the destination.
Why this matters
Most analytics stop somewhere around the click.
Traditional acquisition
Impressions, clicks and website sessions can show that marketing created attention. They usually cannot tell the full story of what happened during the visitor's Woodinville day.
Harvest List intent
Because discovery, saving, trip planning and on-the-ground use happen inside the same utility, Harvest List can distinguish stages of intent and — when an arrival gate is satisfied — connect planning activity to evidence that the venue was reached.
That does not mean every visit can be attributed to Harvest List. Location permissions, how a visitor uses the product and which actions they take all affect what can be measured. The goal is stronger evidence, not inflated attribution.
Your profile
Your business can be useful to visitors before any partnership exists.
A useful planning tool has to represent the places people can actually go. That is why businesses can have a core profile on Harvest List without buying placement.
Own a business already on Harvest List?
Claim it to verify ownership and keep the core business information that visitors rely on accurate. If your business is not listed, you can request to be added.
Measurement
What owners should take away from the data.
The power is not one giant number. It is knowing what kind of behavior produced each number.
Were people encountering you?
Discovery and profile activity help explain whether your business is entering the consideration set.
Were people keeping you?
Saves and trip activity show behavior that is closer to planning than a passive impression.
Did we establish that they reached you?
Arrival reporting should be based only on a legitimate arrival gate, not inferred from weaker engagement.
How was arrival established?
The arrival source matters. Manual visited, automatic location and Check In should remain distinguishable even when they converge on one deduplicated visited-stop truth.
