Woodinville Wine Country

Then there
were five.

The Yard at Harvest is Woodinville Wine Country's fifth district.Five districts. One more reason to discover Woodinville.

Woodinville Wine Country has long been known for four districts: Hollywood, Warehouse, West Valley, and Downtown.

Now there are five.

The Yard at Harvest, also known as Harvest Yard, is Woodinville Wine Country's fifth district: a purpose-built destination at 14482 147th Place NE, inside the 20-acre Harvest Woodinville development, where wineries, restaurants, independent shops, art, and hospitality share a common address.

The Yard didn't emerge from a collection of tasting rooms gradually filling vacant buildings. It was envisioned as a destination from the beginning, with six commercial buildings surrounding a central courtyard, dedicated underground parking, and a lineup of businesses designed to complement one another.

It's a new chapter for a city that has spent decades growing from a handful of wineries into one of Washington's most recognizable wine destinations.

And it's still just getting started.

Why it's a district, not a stop

It was built as one place

Woodinville's established districts each have a history.

Hollywood grew around its wineries and restaurants. Warehouse transformed industrial buildings into tasting rooms. West Valley developed along the river corridor. Downtown continues to evolve around the city's commercial center.

The Yard began with a different blueprint.

Its buildings, courtyard, pedestrian connections, and commercial spaces were planned together. Wine tasting isn't the only attraction, and no single business defines the destination.

The idea is simple: come for one thing, discover something else, and have a reason to stay.

An afternoon doesn't have to end at one tasting room

This is where The Yard begins to feel different.

You might start with Washington wine at Gård Estate Wines, explore the contemporary art at Vaunt Gallery, or stop into J.P. Trodden Distilling for a bourbon tasting.

House Balthazar brings macarons, grower Champagne, and a distinctly different kind of tasting experience to the mix, while Elm Candle Bar offers the chance to make a custom candle.

Add Brass Steak & Seafood to the dining lineup, and a visit can take on an entirely different shape.

These aren't interchangeable businesses. That's the appeal. Each adds something different to the same destination.

And because tenants are opening in stages, the possibilities will continue to expand.

The courtyard is part of the experience

At the center of The Yard is an open-air courtyard designed to be enjoyed, not simply crossed on the way to another storefront.

And one of its most distinctive features is the freedom to enjoy wine outside the tasting room.

Visitors can purchase a glass or bottle of wine from an on-site winery and carry it into The Yard's shared outdoor courtyard, where they can walk, find a place to sit, and enjoy the atmosphere.

It's a different kind of wine-country experience. Instead of being confined to a tasting-room patio, the courtyard becomes part of the destination.

It's the kind of detail that changes how people experience a destination.

It has room to become part of everyday Woodinville

The Yard's first chapter is centered on wine, spirits, art, shopping, and hospitality.

Its next chapter reaches further.

Visible Coffee Roasters and Matcha Magic are among the anticipated additions that could bring more morning activity. Honor Society Pilates adds a reason to visit that has nothing to do with a tasting reservation.

The restaurant lineup is growing, too. Sugo Hand Roll Bar, Cactus Southwest Kitchen + Bar, and a forthcoming restaurant from chef Hari Nayak promise a broader range of dining options.

Kiln, the planned coworking space, adds another dimension altogether.

A coffee before work. A Pilates class. Lunch with a friend. An afternoon tasting. Dinner without deciding on a restaurant until you arrive.

Not all of those experiences are available today. But together, they reveal what The Yard is becoming: a destination with reasons to visit throughout the day, throughout the week, and throughout the year.

It has its own arrival

The Yard sits above 652 underground parking spaces, a significant convenience in a destination where visiting several wineries often means making several separate stops.

Visitors can park once and explore the businesses around the courtyard.

The larger Harvest development also provides pedestrian connections and access to the Sammamish River Trail, making it part of Woodinville's growing network of places to explore on foot or by bicycle.

The setting is deliberate. So is the way people arrive.

It has a place to stay—and a neighborhood around it

Next door, The SOMM Hotel & Spa brings overnight hospitality into the Harvest experience.

A visit can begin with a tasting, continue with dinner, and end with a night in Woodinville. The hotel's restaurants and amenities extend the possibilities beyond The Yard's commercial buildings.

Harvest also includes residential development and public gathering spaces, creating a relationship between the businesses and the people who live nearby.

That matters.

A destination built exclusively for weekend visitors has one kind of energy. A place that also serves residents, hotel guests, and people arriving for work or an ordinary Tuesday has the potential for something much broader.

A district isn't drawn on a map. It's built by the places people keep coming back to.
